Quito is the capital of Ecuador,  located in the northern Andes, one of the main cities of Ecuador and the second largest city in the country. It has an International airport, located in Tababela valley, outside of the city.

You can find a good range of hotel options, cafés, restaurants with the local and international cuisine, tourist attractions, malls and shopping centres, hospitals equipped with high technology, universities and much more.

Quito has different places to visit from north to south, however, the tourist areas are located in the northern and central parts of the city, where most hotels and restaurants are also located.

Public transportation is not very efficient, however, taxis are cheap and will be the best option to take, if travelling on your own. It is necessary that you always request a taxi to pick you up to avoid unsafe situations.
